My father's hobby was fishing.

He often went fishing at the sea on his days off.

Whenever he came back from the sea, he always brought back a big fish. At that time, the whole house smelled of the sea.

He was good at making things. Making fishing equipment, repairing cars, and maintaining the house were easy for him.

If there was anything that needed repair, I thought that there was nothing he couldn't fix.

He worked on making textbooks. In the days when personal computers were not yet widespread, he often took me to his office surrounded by many pens, colored pencils, paper, and books I had never seen before.

I think that it is definitely his influence that I am now drawing pictures and making things.

He always told me to "decide for myself." He never pointed out the direction. I am very grateful for that.

I wonder if I could meet him, who is now in the sky, if the sea and the sky were connected.

I was happy to be his daughter. I hope that having me as his daughter is some kind of blessing to him.
